There are many ways that people today can make a living. Despite the economy being terrible and there being less and less available jobs, life has to go on. In a recent survey, it showed that jobs are becoming scarcer and that more and more graduates from college are ending up jobless. There are simply less jobs being created in the market. Is there a solution to this?
Since man has to continue living, he has to come up with substitute ways of earning money. If the traditional jobs are not able to provide the necessary sustenance, sustenance has to be sought elsewhere.
It is easy to make a living if you have an outstanding talent in the arts. For example if you are good in singing or playing musical instruments you can earn decent wages by playing for bands or playing in gigs. It is possible to make it as a musician. Since it is hard during the initial stages of a musician, many musical artists start off with forming a band. A band helps accommodate all kinds of musicians from the instrument players, the composers and the singers.
If you are good in playing a musical instrument, you could also start teaching! You could start music classes especially if you are a renowned artist. If you are good with the piano, you can start by offering piano lessons for beginners.
What if one does not have any outstanding talent and one does not have any educational qualifications?
There are many new jobs that were not there a few years back that are there today that do not necessarily need any academic qualifications. For example, the rich today are finding themselves extremely busy that they cannot do some of the things they used to do for themselves. For example, jobs like mowing the lawn, picking groceries, walking the pets, washing the pets, and cleaning jobs are today being outsourced more and more.
These are nontraditional jobs that anyone can do and they do not necessarily need any academic qualifications. As such, these jobs can be done by anybody who is physically able. An advantage of these jobs is that one can do several things in one day.
For example, there is a young lad whom we use to deliver our groceries. He is very hardworking and enterprising. In the morning he works distributing milk and the local newspaper. After that, he has several clients whom he mows the lawn for and does some other sanitary jobs for. In the evening, he delivers groceries to around 20 homes around my home area. I would not be surprised if at the end of the day he makes much more money than some people who are employed in 9- 5 jobs.
An advantage of these temporal jobs is that one has a job that is always offer new challenges and does not involve the same routine day in day out. Working in an office, the monotony is horrendous. My grocery supplier is constantly interacting with new people and changing his working environment hence he can enjoy his work better.
